Curriculum Planning And Credit Exchange

AMHSI is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools that fully ensures the continuity of students' high school credit while on our program. The flexibility of our courses allows for a credit exchange through curriculum planning between AMHSI and the home high school. AMHSI will work together with your school and counsellor to enable you to come and study at AMHSI without "missing" school. Drawing on 35 years of successful experience, the Alexander Muss High School in Israel can recommend a variety of schedule modifications to fulfill the course requirements with your school. Since your academic career is our priority, we enroll only those students who have the full acceptance and cooperation of their home schools. Instruction in mathematics, science and foreign languages is conducted in the afternoon hours. Your Director of Admission (DA) will assist you to acquire class assignments from your home school that can then be sent to AMHSI. Those students who need to maintain progress certain subject areas will need to acquire a class plan from their home school teachers, which will then be sent to our staff in Israel. Your DA will assist you with this too.

The Southern Regional Office of the College Board has certified the Alexander Muss High School in Israel as an official testing site for PSAT and AP tests.

Special arrangements can be made when necessary to administer the IB and ACT tests. All SAT exams in Israel are given in one location in Tel Aviv (The Zoa House). AMHSI will help arrange your transportation to the testing site.

College Credit

Students who maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA average at their home schools and who take the SAT or ACT exams prior to their enrollment are eligible to receive six college credits through Broward Community College. There is an additional fee set by the Florida Board of Regents for this option. Please contact your DA regarding this.
