The Alexander Muss Institute for Israel Education is very proud of its 35-year record regarding the safety and security of our students. We have always exercised utmost caution in planning and implementing the program. This extends to the formal activities on campus and during the field trips. We have also always carefully monitored our students during their free time away from campus. We state with great satisfaction that our prudent policy has not detracted from the Israel experience of our students. Throughout the years we have constantly examined and re-examined our policies to ensure that we feel that we can continue to provide a safe environment for our students. In the past years, we have engaged the services of the 'SHAFRAN Security Consultation and Management' company, a very well known and reputable company what has consulted many organizations including the United Jewish Communities representing the Jewish Federations in North America and its Missions Department. Everything within our power is done to ensure participants' well being without compromising the integrity of our programs. Much of what many programs do today, as a result of the recent events in Israel, has been the security practice of AMHSI / AMIIE for over 20 years. The State of Israel holds the safety of its people as its highest priority and AMIIE rigorously adheres to the strict security regulations imposed by the Government of Israel. All field trips (Tiyulim) are checked and cleared through the appropriate agencies. We also work very closely with the Jewish Agency's Department of Security to ensure we are fully compliant with their security standards and there is ongoing contact with the security authorities who coordinate all student travel in Israel (the "Situation Room"). Our educators are equipped with cell phones for instant communication in the event that changes occur in the course of a day. This practice also relates to changes in weather, auto accidents, high traffic, etc. All of the staff at AMIIE take their job and its responsibilities very seriously. First and foremost, our focus is on the safety and security of our participants. For further information regarding safety and security, please contact Executive Director of Israel Operations and school Headmaster, Chaim Fischgrund at cfischgrund@amiie.org |
Security MeasuresThe bus company that AMIIE utilizes is housed in our home community of Hod HaSharon. It is the same company that we have used for over 15 years and its drivers are well known to us.Security measures that relate to our youth programs are even more exacting. They include prohibitions on using public transportation, requirements for checking in and out of campus, being in public areas at times of demonstrations or gatherings and more. |
